About the Catalina Mountains Chapter

The Catalaina Mountains Chapter is one of ten MOAA chapters in the state of Arizona. The Catalina Mountains Chapter began as a satellite chapter of the Tucson Chapter in 2015 and became a stand-alone MOAA chapter in 2022. The Chapter was formed because there were several members of the Tucson Chapter that lived in Saddlebrook, Saddlebrooke Ranch, Oro Valley and Marana, all located north of Tucson. These members, living north of Tucson, wanted to meet somewhere north of Tucson for lunch on a monthly basis.

Chapter meetings

Chapter luncheons are normally held on the third Saturday of each month, January through April and October through December. Luncheons are typically held at the Saddlebrooke Ranch Grill (located at Saddlebrooke Ranch) or at Saddlebrooke HOA1 or HOA2 facilities (located immediately north of Catalina, AZ). Reservations are required, and RSVP requests are emailed prior to each luncheon. Luncheons begin promptly at 11:30 AM and usually feature a speaker. Community support

The Catalina Mountains Chapter, in partnership with the Tucson Chapter, has actively provided community support. This support includes raising funds for Esperanza En Escalante, awaiting scholarships to University of Arizona ROTC students, and participating in Wreaths Across America in December.
