Here are five ways you can participate in the Catalina Mountains Chapter:
Join the chapter. By joining the chapter your dues will be used to support our community support projects like providing a one-week camp for children at Esperanza En Escalante, or purchasing laptops for low-income veterans. Click here to find out more about these community support projects. Click here to join our chapter!
Attend chapter luncheons. Attending chapter luncheons is a great way to stay socially connected and to hear about opportunities to serve with the chapter. Click here for information on our luncheons!
Volunteer with us. For a listing of vacant chapter leadership positions, click here. Other volunteer opportunities include laying Christmas wreaths during Wreaths Across America and work days at Esperanza En Escalante. As a chapter member we'll inform you of volunteer opportunities as they arise.
Donate funds to support our activities. Seven chapter members donated $2,050 last year for a one-week camp for children at Esperanza En Escalante. Chapter dues were used to match the seven members donation and to augment MOAA Foundation grant funds to purchase four laptops. Click here to find out more about the one-week camp and the four laptops.
Advocate for legislation. As a member of MOAA you can access the Legislative Action Center on MOAA's website by clicking here. As a chapter member you'll be informed of proposed Arizona state legislation that could affect uniformed service members and their families. At the state level your advocacy is very important; we'll tell you who your senator and representative is and how to contact them to advocate for (and sometimes against) proposed legislation.
